Narga Selassie is on the Central monasteries on Lake Tana, requiring a 2 1/2-hour ride by powerboat. It sounded more pleasant the day before, but with the morning chill, a need to visit the restroom and even a pause in the middle of the lake to refuel, it began to seem much longer. It was worth the trip, however. Narga Selassie was beautifully-decorated and the friendly priests were eager to be photographed.
