Witches' Market | La Paz

Our main goal for our last day in the country was to check out the witches' market. It ended up being....not so interesting, as well as not cohesive! It was really just a regular market street, with the addition of llama foetuses...nothing about it seemed like a SPECIAL market. Very touristy. Although I'd read that they frown on photos and it's very much a market for locals who believe in magic, that had to be old info...it was really only tourists.

Party time | Uyuni

More time killing. Hemmy and I were just fascinated with this children's school party, as were many adults in town. I'm not even sure what the party was for, but the cakes we saw were decorated wtih congratulatory messages. Perhaps September is the end of the school year in Bolivia?

I'd seen these train pictures all over the internet and wondered if there was some special place near the Salar where people went to get these amazing shots. Turned out, when we got to Uyuni and the bus company we needed was temporarily closed, that the train graveyard is just a convenient place to kill some time.
