Basically a motorcycle housed in a colorful red shell. The ride is pretty bumpy, especially over a semi-long haul...better for short jaunts around town. I took one later from Gracias up to Parque Nacional Celaque and it was a really rough ride.

Buy something from me, from me, from meeee...these girls tailed me the whole time I was in the Mayan village above Copan. The horse ride up had been pleasant, being in the town much less so. I realize they needed the money, but it was also pretty irritating.

I got in what looked like a 15-passenger van by the bridge in Gracias, on the way the San Juan. Somehow the driver crammed 25 people in and still kept stopping to pick up more. Many of them were kids, but still...it was tight. I was amazed that no one complained.

I love these kids! I came to the coffee farm to learn the process of picking and shelling coffee beans, but was so charmed by the large family living there. They were equally charmed by the flip-out screen on my camera, giggling at the images of themselves.
