The Turquoise Trail, a backroad between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, is lauded more for its cultural and historical points of interest...mainly the little ghost towns and former ghost towns scattered on its path. I didn't feel enough credit was given to its scenic highlights...it's quite a lovely drive. Unfortunately, people treat it like a large thoroughfare (except when driving through Madrid) and tailed me every time I tried to pull over for a photo.

* Many thanks to Jason Nemeth and Joseph Levy for their IR workflow tips!
